Nationally recognized, award-winning restaurateur, Sean Murphy, is the proud owner of the Gulf Coast’s highly acclaimed restaurant, the Beach Bistro. The Beach Bistro’s accomplishments include a flawless, sold-out dinner at the James Beard House, eight consecutive Golden Spoon awards, one of Zagat Survey’s highest ratings, a Wine Spectator award and admission into Florida Trend’s Golden Spoon Hall of Fame. Murphy, a native of Halifax, Nova Scotia, worked his way through Dalhousie [Harvard of the North] Law School serving beers in taverns. Upon graduation, Murphy soon realized he no longer wanted to become a lawyer and instead followed his passion for food to New Orleans where he learned the restaurant trade under the tutelage of industry renowned Archie Casbarian at the world-famous Arnaud’s.
